After Hrithik Roshan officially released a statement regarding him opting out of one of Dharma's most ambitious project titled Shuddhi, Kareena too went public about exiting the film, much to the audience's disappointment.
However, since then, Shuddhi has been on the back burner though Karan Johar had claimed that the film is sure to go on floors soon with a new cast. And now recently, we hear that it is Deepika Padukone who will fill in the shoes of Kareena Kapoor. But this is not the first time that the actress has stepped in as a replacement. Prior to this, Deepika was signed in for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela after Kareena refused to play Leela in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.
As far as the male lead is concerned, no names have been finalized as yet.
