Chot’ On Actual Locations:

Yet another director who’s creating ripples is Sooraj R. Barjatya’s erstwhile assistant Nabh Kumar Raju, who’s almost through with the shooting of his new film CHOT. Starring Ashutosh Rana, Sharad Kapoor, new-find Rohit Nayyar and two top-ranking models Nethra Raghuraman and Jesse Randhawa Nabh describes the film as hard-hitting and realistic.

Doing away with the practice of shooting the climax of the film at the best of locales, Nabh has decided to shoot the climax of CHOT inside a real ‘tabela’ [cow shed] in Jogeshwari [a suburb of Mumbai]. Since the film tackles the problems faced by milk vendors, I felt it was important not to deviate from the script. Hence, an authentic location, he states.

Incidentally, Nabh Kumar Raju is one of those directors who believes in completing the entire shooting of the film in a stipulated timeframe. While he wrapped up the shooting of HUM TUMPE MARTE HAIN [Govinda, Urmila] in 49 days, he hopes to finish the shooting of CHOT in 45 days flat. A producer’s director!
