After HAASIL, director Tigmanshu Dhulia is working on CHARAS, a film with a message. Dealing with drug trafficking, the film is racing towards completion [its 90 per cent complete]. Though the subject is grim, Dhulia denies that it's targetted at the urban audience. Drug trafficking is prevalent in several parts of the country. This makes it a mass-appealing subject, he says, terming CHARAS as an entertaining, action, adventure film. The message that Dhulia wants to send across to the audience is that these vices are a worldwide phenomenon and not just restricted to any particular country. Shot extensively in Ladakh, Delhi and Mumbai, CHARAS, starring Jimmy Shergill, Uday Chopra, Namrata Shirodkar and Hrishitaa Bhatt, is at present in the post-production stages.
