The Cine & TV Artistes' Association [C.I.N.T.A.A.] has reacted to the Shakti Kapoor controversy.
In a press statement [dt. March 16, 2005], the Association has condemned Shakti Kapoor [for defaming his colleagues], Guild [for banning the actor without involving/taking C.I..N.T.A.A. into confidence] and the media [for crossing the lakshman rekha'].
An emergency meeting of the Association was held on March 15 and the entire episode has been condemned by its executive committee.
A copy of the press statement has been sent to Shakti Kapoor, Guild, India TV, Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji, Subhash Ghai and Yash Chopra.
