While it's a known fact that Bollywood stars made pot loads of money, it's only a handful of Bollywood stars who are known for their acute business acumen. After having invested their hard earned money in property, shares and other such areas, the latest one to catch hold of the fancy of the stars are the tax-free bonds sold by the Indian Railways Finance Corp (IRFC). These bonds not just come with tax-free interest rate of up to 7.5 p.a., but also promise their holders tax-free income for the next 20 years.
As per the news reports, Bollywood actors who have bid for these include the likes of Akshay Kumar (bid for Rs. 45 crore of IRFC bonds), Aamir Khan (bid for IRFC bonds worth Rs. 10 crore), Kareena Kapoor (bid for Rs 20 crore of IRFC bonds), and her sister Karisma Kapoor (bid for Rs. 5 crore of IRFC bonds) amongst others.
