Bobby Deol has got quite an interesting role in his next film Nanhe Jaisalmer. The actor gets to play himself! He will be seen playing the role of none other than Bobby Deol in the forthcoming Nanhe Jaisalmer, directed by Samir Karnik of Kyun Ho Gaya Na! fame. The shooting of the film is already in process and Bobby will join the cast from April 8. Contrary to what people might think, this role is not a special appearance. It is a full fledged-role. The film deals with the life a child and how Bobby makes a difference to him. Few people know that Bobby and the director of the film, Samir go back a long way. Bobby has known him since the time he was shooting for Vidhu Vinod Chopras Kareeb, in which Karnik was assisting Chopra. Undeterred by the failure of Karniks first directorial effort, Bobby is quite excited about this film. Although he does not want to reveal too much about the story right now, he believes that the story is challenging. Apart from Nanhe Jaisalmer, the other films that Bobby has on hand right now are Anil Sharma's Apne (that also costars his father Dharmendra and brother Sunny Deol) and Suneel Darshan's next.
