About 50 Bajrang Dal & Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists went on a rampage and attacked a multiplex in Ahmedabad on Wednesday afternoon in what they described as an act to seek revenge. A special painting made by M.F Husain to promote his film Gaja Gamini was destroyed by the activists at the multiplex. The attack was reportedly a retaliation to Husain's objectionable portrayal of Goddess Saraswati some year ago. The activists said that it was a revenge against Husain who had dared to insult the Hindu deities. Meanwhile, the premiere of the film in the city has been put off fearing more attacks. M.F. Husain was not available for comment.
