While you are reading this, Ayesha Shroff, the enterprising wife of Jackie Shroff, has embarked on her third production venture, BOOM, directed by Kaizad Gustad (BOMBAY BOYS). The film is aimed at the international audience, Ms. Shroff tells me, adding in the same breath, The storyline appealed to me. And we got started. BOOM tells the story of three Indian female supermodels (Padma Lakshmi, Katrina and Madhu Sapre) who unwittingly get involved with three nasty underworld characters and plan to rob a bank vault of diamonds and smuggle them out of the company. The film co-stars Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Jaaved Jaaferi and Seema Biswas. But what's interesting is that Indian fashion designers Anna Singh, Hemant Trivedi, Malani Ramani, Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani and Wendell Rodricks would appear in cameo roles. BOOM is a slick, stylish, sexy, independent Indian film that will appeal to audiences in India and internationally, says Kaizad. The film will be shot over a 3-month period in Mumbai, Dubai and Thailand. Menwhile, Ayesha's under-production film SANDHYA (Jackie, Raveena) is already complete and is being readied for a May release.
