Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh is currently amongst the most sought after directors in Bollywood. After a string of sensible-sensitive cinema in Bengali, the director makes his Hindi film debut with Raincoat (starring Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai) slated for release this month. He has already started work on his next Bengali-Hindi bilingual Antar Mahal starring Abhishek Bachchan, Soha Ali Khan, Raima Sen and Jackie Shroff. And for his another Hindi film, he is going even bigger gathering an ensemble cast. He has signed the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai yet again after (Choker Bali and Raincoat) for this as yet untitled film. But the film basically is about a father-son relationship wherein Amitabh Bachchan and (director) Farhan Akhtar will play the father son duo. And the mother's role will be played by Shabana Azmi (who incidentally is the second wife of Farhan's father Javed Akhtar). The director claims that you can call the film as a male version of the Bengali film Unishe April directed by himself in 1994.
