Arjun Rampal will head the cast of Mukta Arts Ltd.'s MAJNU, produced by Subhash Ghai and directed by Satish Kaushik. The film was launched on February 15 with a song recording at Ghai's studio Audeus. It was tuned by Anu Malik and penned by Anand Bakshi. MAJNU was initially going to star Kareena Kapoor in the female lead, but post-YAADEIN, the equations between Ghai and Kareena changed drastically, due to which the actress and the producer parted ways. In the meanwhile, a leading lady will be finalized shortly. The film is scheduled for release in October this year.
