Arjun Rampal gets notice for meeting Arun Gawli without permission

It’s a well-known fact that Arjun Rampal will be seen playing the gangster Arun Gawli in his upcoming film Daddy and the actor had previously even mentioned about the extensive research he had conducted for playing the role with conviction. And now, after a meeting with the man himself, Arjun Rampal has been summoned by the court since he wasn’t authorized to meet the don without permission from the court.

Arun Gawli, who is serving life time imprisonment on the charges of murdering Corporator Kamlakar Jamsandekar in 2008, isn’t allowed to meet family/friends without the permission from the court. However, Arjun Rampal met the gangster when he was in judicial custody and was brought in at J J Hospital for routine check-up. Joint Commissioner of Police, Dhananjay Kamlakar revealed that the local police station has sent a notice to the actor, also asking for the details of the meeting between him and Gawli. Moreover, we also hear that an internal inquiry has been issued against police officers who were present during the interaction between Rampal and Gawli.

Readers may be aware that a couple of months ago, Daddy to be directed by debutant Gaurav Bavdankar was launched with much fanfare and Arjun Rampal had even expressed his excitement about playing a real life character in the film. It is being said that the film has already gone on floor and Arjun Rampal has completed over three days of the shoot as Gawli.
