Remember the Salman Khan Sridevi fare CHANDRAMUKHI? After its release, its director Debaloy Dey shifted to Canada and started making television software there. But Debaloy is back to Mumbai and films. Salman and I were in constant touch with each other in the intervening period. His confidence in my abilities brought me back to Mumbai, Debaloy, the one-time assistant to Shekhar Kapur, tells me. Well, Debaloy is all set to start his second film, which is titled PYAR NOT A LOVE STORY. Starring Arbaaz Khan, Ashima Bhalla and one more heroine [currently under finalisation], the film will be produced by Bubby Kent, who had also produced CHANDRAMUKHI. A title like PYAR NOT A LOVE STORY sends out confusing signals. Is it or is it not a love story? Explains Debaloy, That's the catch! The opening of the film would explain why we opted for a title like that. The film will go on floors on January 20, 2004 at Ramoji Filmcity in Hyderabad and will be shot in a period of four months. The makers have already recorded one song, tuned by Sameer [assistant to Laxmikant-Pyarelal].
