Sometime back, we had pointed out that Raveena Tandon had opted out of KAANTE and Lisa Ray had replaced her in the project. However, the latest news is that Lisa Ray has also been replaced in the film. This time it is Malaika Arora-Khan, who has been signed for the role.We contacted Lisa's spokesperson Kuki to verify the news and this is what he had to say: "It's true that Lisa is not doing the film. She had flown to Toronto, from where she was supposed to fly to Los Angeles for the shooting of KAANTE. Due to the terrorist attacks in U.S.A., the security had been tightened and she had to carry her baggage herself. Her leg got twisted at the airport and she had to plaster it. Since she was supposed to participate in a dance sequence, she wouldn't have been able to do it with the plaster, which is why she decided to opt out of the project. Lisa has been asked to take a four-week rest."
