Last week we had reported that the Aashiqui 2 singer Ankit Tiwari along with his brother had been arrested on charges of rape. Now we hear that a Sessions Court has granted the crooner bail on the condition that he furbish a bond of Rs. 20000/-. Further Ankit's bail warrant states that the victim's statement holds contradictory remarks, and that Ankit has been falsely accused in the case.
For the uninitiated, Ankit and his brother were arrested after a complaint was filed against them at the Versova Police station. The petition alleged that Ankit, under the pretext of marriage had engaged in a relationship which consequently ended in rape, while his brother had threatened the victim on this matter.
