Fans of the laugh-a-minute Housefull franchise were excited to see the return of the iconic duo Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar in Housefull 5. However, a recent report by Mid-Day suggests a possible change in the star cast.
According to the report, Anil Kapoor has exited the film due to a disagreement with producer Sajid Nadiadwala regarding his fees. This unexpected change in casting has led the makers to rework Nana Patekar's role, as their comedic camaraderie was a central aspect of the script.
Having said that, it is worth mentioning that Bollywood Hungama is also constantly sharing exclusive updates on Housefull 5. Recently, we reported that Arjun Rampal has joined the star cast of the upcoming film. “After playing the part of a brother in Housefull, Arjun Rampal returns to the franchise after 14 long years. It’s yet another serious yet funny character for Rampal and he is excited to come on board the film. When Sajid Nadiadwala approached him with the idea of Housefull 5, he jumped onto the opportunity and agreed to come on board the film,” a source told us.
Speaking of the film, it is said that all characters from the previous instalment will come on board in various capacities. The film is set on a cruise and goes on floors in August 2024 with a marathon schedule in the UK.
