"My Dear, What a handsome fellow, it is wonderful" said Amitabh on having the first glimpse of his alter ego, his wax statue at Tussauds in London. The gathering comprised of about 50 journos and an equal no. of photographers on Wednesday in the garden party where the Big B unveiled his statue. He added, "It is so unreal. It is a wonderful piece of art. As I hold it, I almost feel that it is breathing. I am amazed at the quality of the work. I am happy to be immortalized." Ms. Susan Mann of Madame Tussaud's introduced Bachchan as the first Indian Superstar to be immortalized in wax. The Big B said that it was not just an honor for himself but for his country and Indians worldwide. The statue has been dressed in the Amitabh's designer clothes seen in the forthcoming film, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Some work still remains to be done on his beard. In reply to queries Amitabh said that he had grown the beard for his film Aks and simply not shaved it off. He was non-committal as to whether he will keep the beard.
