In Tigmanshu Dhulia's Yaara, Amit Sadh who turned 35 on Friday, had a tough time trying to look 60. Amit decided to just adapt his director's body language and speech style, since Tigmanshu is closer to the character's age than Amit.
Says Sadh, "Tishu was supposed to play the older avatar of my character. But then he decided to merge the two actors and I was required to play the character's young and older version. It helped me to understand myself better."

Amit, who has no family, treats Kapoor as a father-figure. "He is my guide and mentor. Working on Guddu Rangeela with him I learnt so much, and not just about filmmaking."
Ever since Amit broke up with his steady girlfriend, the Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa, his life had been wobbling on the edge. And now Amit doesn't make one move in his career without consulting Subhash Kapoor.
Gary Renard's book Disappearance Of The Universe has changed actor Amit Sadh's attitude to life and love. Says the actor, "It has taken me a long time to heal and become whole again. This amazing book helped me to overcome my pain."
