Shashi Ranjan is a busy man nowadays. On one hand he's wrapping up the shooting of his directorial debut DOBAARA [with Jackie, Raveena, Mahima and Sanjay Dutt] and on the other hand, the I.T.A. is working out a 'Gr8 Women Achiever's Award' on February 29. For DOBAARA, he's even got sexy singer Alisha Chinai to make an on-screen appearance as a crooner along with Sanjay Dutt and Mahima. Since it was a club song, we needed someone like Alisha, informs Ranjan, I've consciously refrained from making it an item song. It's peppy number in fact. The director is immensely pleased with Anu Malik's musical score in his film. DOBAARA, described as a mature love story told like a thriller, is slated for release in April.
