Akshay turns ‘Goodheart Ambassador’, inaugrates ‘Asian Seva’

Asian Heart Institute, a world class cardiac care hospital has recently been in the news for performing the first robot assisted surgery in Mumbai. The latest offering from the institute is 'Asian Seva' which was formally inaugurated by Goodheart Ambassador Akshay Kumar yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Akshay said, "Dr. Panda & his team at Asian Heart Institute are an inspiration for many of us...This is the team that believes that 'Every heart deserves the best' and lives up to it each day. It is amazing how this team believes in giving back to the society, what the society has given them. And Asian Seva is another such effort. When Dr. Panda approached me to be the Goodheart Ambassador of Asian Seva, he left me with no reasons to 'say no'. Here is an initiative for the two most vulnerable segments of our society (the children & the elderly) to get world-class treatment at economical rates. The "messiahs of heart" are here to play a role... the least we can do is support them."

'Asian Seva' is an effort on behalf of Asian Heart team to bring expert cardiac treatment, surgery and care to the two most important segments of society- children (below 12 years) & senior citizens (above 65 years).

Dr. Ramakanta Panda, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Asian Heart Institute said, "We have always wanted to do something for senior citizens & children. Everyday I see patients from these two vulnerable segments & my heart goes out to them. We are sure Asian Seva can benefit these two segments.
