No, this was not a dangerous stunt for an upcoming film. It was his way of showing by his own example how dangerous is the heart disease situation facing young people in India today.
As Akshay says, The statistics are truly frightening. Every 30 seconds one person in India dies of heart diseases". As the ambassador for the Good Heart Foundation, Akshay Kumar has tied up with STAR TV to promote awareness about prevention of heart attacks. A thrilling commercial to promote the same was shot on the terrace of the Oberoi Sky Towers in Mumbai, the tallest building in Lokhandwala Complex. Bollywood's biggest stunt director, Allan Amin, contributed his services free to the campaign as he directed Akshay in this daredevil feat.
Although Akshay may talk about not having stress, but walking on the ledge of one of the tallest buildings in Mumbai takes not just guts, but also a very big heart.
