Its common knowledge that actors usually get into the character they play but for the first time, an actor is going into a different time period altogether. Well, we've always heard of actors doing different things to promote their films. However, Akshay is all set to take promotions on a different level altogether. The star will be going full time retro. So wherever he goes and whatever he does, it would be in retro style. Akshay is going this extra mile to now promote his film Action Replayy.
Well, the buzz is that from tomorrow onwards, Akshay is going to go retro. Since Action Replayy is a 70s story; Akshay is going to don only retro clothes from tomorrow onwards. So if he makes any public appearances, shoots for any other film, attends parties, basically all places he goes to, including having dinner with wife Twinkle, Akshay will be seen in only retro attire.
Akshay Kumar goes ‘Retro’ full time to promote Action ReplayyTo go retro in real life, Akshay is leaving no stone unturned. He has asked designer Shabina Khan to design a full fledged wardrobe of retro clothes, which he can wear over the next few weeks.
Says director Vipul Shah, "Having Akshay Kumar in a film is always an asset for any director. Akshay is so passionate about every film he does that he himself keeps coming up with ideas to promote the film. Sometimes we have to remind him we have a marketing team to do this exact job. However, Akshay being Akshay, he came up with this gem of an idea. In fact, he was so excited that he called me in the middle of the night to inform me that from now on, to the day Action Replayy releases, he will only be wearing retro clothes."
Action Replayy is about Akshay and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan revisiting romance retro style. What is to be seen now is whether Ash is ready to take up the challenge.
