Aks v/s Tum Bin : The mid-week report:

Last week saw the release of two films -- AKS and TUM BIN. The first stars Amitabh Bachchan, the most popular star the country has ever seen, and the second features four new faces. It was no clash as such, but everyone's curious to know how the two films are faring at the turnstiles. Always the first with the news, views and reviews, we at IndiaFM present the territory-wise performance of the two films at the b.o. window. 'AKS' MUMBAI The film opened to a fantastic response and the first three days were full. But a drop was noticed from Monday in a few suburban cinemas. GUJARAT & SAURASHTRA The reports are not upto the mark. DELHI The collections have dropped. The reports are average to below average here. UTTAR PRADESH Average collections. KOLKATA The reports are weak and the collections are not too encouragng. C.P. BERAR (parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh) The start was not upto the mark and collections are dropping with each passing day. C.I. (parts of Madhya Pradesh) The opening was far from satisfactory and the reports are poor. RAJASTHAN The opening was weak and there has been a substantial drop from Saturday onwards. 'TUM BIN' MUMBAI Is doing good business in Mumbai city, due to the limited number of prints that are in circulation. Plus, it is being screened in just one show everyday. However, the reports continue to be mixed. GUJARAT & SAURASHTRA It is average, again due to the limited prints. The distributors are planning to add 3-4 prints next week. DELHI The reports are mixed, but the collections at the main cinema are very good. UTTAR PRADESH Weak. KOLKATA Reports are average. C.P. BERAR (parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh) The collections are steady, since the film was released with limited prints. RAJASTHAN The opening was dull and the reports are ordinary.
