After starting up a campaign for the development of a girl child on social media, Ajay Devgn continues his philanthropic work with the HOPE (Health Oriented Programmes and Education) initiative. The actor turned brand ambassador for the most popular fast food franchise KFC India for the same.
KFC along with others like WFP (World Food Program) and IFBN (India Food Banking Network) HOPE initiative aims at providing over 20 million meals to the underprivileged children of the country by 2020. “With such a large population, hunger is one of the most critical issues that our country faces. I think being associated as a Hope ambassador is one of the most challenging roles I have ever taken on. We are hoping to tackle a big, complex problem head on by raising awareness about hunger,” Ajay said in a statement. He further added, “The difference a meal can make to a child’s development is huge. On screen, we all love to see the bad guys defeated. You too can contribute to defeating hunger and become a real life hero by adding a nominal amount of Rs. 5 to the bill each time you visit a KFC store.”
Ajay Devgn, who is married to actress Kajol, is a father of two kids, Nysa and Yug. He even walked the red carpet for the premiere of his debut international production Parched with his daughter Nysa, thereby promoting the campaign of development of a girl child.
