Academy award nominated writer comes to Whistling Woods

Whistling Woods International, in association with BlackCoffee Films & Media, brought in academy award nominated and multiple award winning writer Tom Abrams to conduct a screenwriting master-class with the students of the 1st batch of WWI. The story is the king is the topic of the master-class and therein he will share the secrets to create great stories for film, television and animation. Tom Abrams is a well-known screenwriter for both films and television with achievements like an Academy Award Nomination for “Shoeshine”, Emmy Award for one of USA’s most watched Animation tele-series “Rugrats”, and Cannes International Film Festival Award Winner for “Performance Pieces”. His screen credits include The Desperate Trail for TNT, Metal Machine, Hamlet in America, and The Battle of Ono for Executive Producer John Woo (Director of Mission Impossible I, II & III). He is also a recipient of a lifetime teaching appointment at USC (University of Southern California) one of the world’s finest film schools. Speaking on the occasion of Tom Abrams lecturing at WWI, Meghna Ghai, President – Whistling Woods International says, As part of our curriculum we have guest lectures from various fields from the world of cinema visiting the institute and imparting their knowledge and experiences to our students, who learn a lot from these interactions. We have had many guest lecturers from the Indian movie industry, however we would also like to expose our students to creative and technically proficient professionals from overseas.
