Aashish Chanana Launches Media Factory:

Pioneering the Hollywood Studio concept in India, MEDIA FACTORY promoted by Aashish Chanana and Dr. Charanjit Chanana was launched amidst glitz & fanfare at Hotel J W Marriot, Juhu. With the intention to control the entire value chain of Film Industry amongst its foremost initiatives, Media Factory looks forward to produce at least 5 feature every year aimed at a broad audience both in India and abroad. Speaking on the occasion, Aashish Chanana, Managing Director said, MEDIA FACTORY represents the new face of the Indian film industry that is geared to spearhead a radical departure from traditional cinema, and is aimed at a broad audience both in India and abroad. Targeting audiences both in India and abroad, MEDIA FACTORY has developed 5 projects in variety of genres and is devoted to creating innovative, engaging high-quality films that would be commercially viable. PROJECTS: DREAMS: A touching portrayal of human emotions. The film is based on complex web of relationships that arises when a talented film director discovers an ordinary girl living on the streets and transforms her into a superstar. The unusual twist and human emotions involved create an engrossing plot. Director: Aashish Chanana Cast: Neha, Himani Rawat and others. MISSION BANGKOK: Replete with the edge of the seat excitement, action and ground-breaking special effects, this movie will set the adrenaline on an overdrive. Belonging to the James Bond and Charlie’s Angels genre, the film will be shot in Thailand and China. It will have a multilingual cast with three actresses – A top Indian model, American model and a Thai model. Talks are on with a leading Thai Film Production company that has promised to extend support. NAMASTE AMERICA A Lighthearted look at the coming of age events of second generation NRI, the film weaves an intricate web of human relationships in a far way land. A sensitive storyline, based in America works on the insights of the Indian American Writer Steven Patel who has tried to bring both the identity issues faced by Indians abroad. The film is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2003. It will be shot entirely in America. BOMBAY TIMES As the city’s pulse keeps it alive, it also beats into it an unmatched rhythm. An invincible and immortal music that defies time and age and a string of protagonists live out this music in this light. A Breezy tale of all that’s beautiful in life in Bombay.
