All roads in Hyderabad led to Salman Khan's sister's wedding. The wedding lasted for nearly 6 hours.
The Bollywood turn-out was surprising, to say the least. While Shah Rukh Khan who had promised to be at the wedding couldn't make it finally (for reasons best known to him), Priyanka Chopra's conspicuous presence at the wedding caused many eyebrows to be raised.
Says a friend of Salman's, "She has hardly been a favourite of Salman. I believe she stalled the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani for two days to be in Hyderabad for the wedding. Bhansali has an expensive set waiting. But Priyanka chose to fly out for a wedding where she was not that urgently required."
Ironically, Sanjay Bhansali who was at one time Salman's closest friend was not invited for the wedding.
Priyanka Chopra was seen mingling excitedly with Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan all of whom played hosts.
Most endearing of all was Aamir Khan who stood by Salman receiving the wedding guests, and went around ensuring everyone was comfortable. Aamir Khan stayed at the wedding right until the end.
No member of the Kapoor or Bachchan family attended the wedding.
