Amidst the many Koffee With Karan surprises we had last year, one of them was Aamir Khan’s presence on the chat show. Besides showcasing a comfortable camaraderie between Aamir and Karan, it also portrayed the bond that Aamir shares with his wife Kiran Rao. With its fifth season too focusing on a couple of new permutations and combinations when it comes to guests on the show, this time we hear that Aamir Khan is all set for a solo appearance.
Aamir Khan to go solo for Karan Johar’s Koffee With KaranFrom what we hear, Aamir Khan will be next in line for the episode that will air after the one with the Khan brothers [Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail] this weekend. It is being said that the actor will appear sans his wife Kiran. However, we will get a glimpse of the Dangal girls Sanya and Fatima who will make a brief appearance on the show since they are playing Aamir’s on screen daughters in the forthcoming wrestling drama.
It has been learnt that Aamir Khan who generally refrains from attending chat shows asked Karan to invite him on the show. In the past, the superstar had apparently stated that he wanted to be on the show but Karan hadn’t invited him and jokingly asked if the filmmaker would call him for the same. It seems that the anchor-director was more than happy to oblige.
Among the new combinations, Koffee With Karan has by far aired episodes with Shah Rukh Khan - Alia, Akshay Kumar with Twinkle Khanna marking her debut on the show, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur among others.
