You may have heard that Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Suniel Shetty have joined hands to produce films, but no one has the official take on their first project together. Together with Nitin Manmohan [DEEWANGEE, RUDRAKSH], the three actors have floated a company called Foursome Productions Entertainment and their first film under this banner will be VANDE MATARAM. "It's based on the 1971 war," Suniel tells me, continuing in the same breath, "There will be eleven actors in all. So far, besides the three of us [Sanju, Ajay, Suniel], Abhishek Bachchan has been confirmed." What's interesting is that the film will star a mix of Hindi and regional film stars. Says Suniel, "While nine of the eleven stars will be from the Mumbai industry, one each will be from Tamil and Telugu industry." To be directed by Mani Shankar [16 DECEMBER, RUDRAKSH], the film will be shot in a start-to-finish shooting schedule from June/July 2004 onwards. "We intend making at least one patriotic film every year," Suniel says.
