Tere Bin Laden Dead Or Alive Review {1.5/5} & Review Rating
EXPECTATIONS
There are practically nil expectations from the music of Tere Bin Laden - Dead or Alive. Since there has hardly been any awareness created around the soundtrack, one doesn't really know what to expect from the three songs that feature in the soundtrack.
MUSIC
First to arrive is 'Itemwaale' which is composed and sung by Ram Sampat. A kind of number which is set to feature in the end credit rolls, this one takes a dig on the item songs and eventually turns out to be nothing more than an ad jingle. Moreover, the funny element doesn't come out well either through Munna Dhiman's lyrics.
Ali Zafar writes, composes and sings 'Six Pack Abs' and this time around the dig is on the phenomenon of developing six pack abs that every second actor is aiming for. Ali Zafar also features in this video and while he does show off his six pack abs here, the song by itself turns out to be just about ordinary. Also, one wonders where it would actually feature in the film's narrative.
Last to arrive is the theme track 'Maara Gaya Hai', which is centered on the announcement of Osama Bin Laden jo maara gaya hai. Seemingly a kind of track which is just there for promotional reasons and won't necessarily feature in the film, this Hinglish song just about passes muster with no recall value whatsoever.
OVERALL
Avoidable.
