Taare Zameen Par is a movie which will make you feel sad, happy, angry, and all at the same point of time. It has the emotional capacity to make anyone howl, and it also has the capability to make one's stomach hurt with laughter. It is stellar moviemaking. It's a film, rather a work of art, meant for anyone and everyone. From the people sitting in their offices to the little 'chai-wala' in the stall near the bus stand, it is made for all. You'll be hooked from the moment the Clay-dough animated opening credits start rolling, and would't even notice when and how two hours and 40 minutes went by.
It's hard to believe that it was Aamir Khan's directorial debut. I mean, the whole film boasts of the work of an artist. And you'd think Aamir had already churned out a couple of hits as a director already. Hats off Aamir uncle!!
And the kid.. Oh, the kid!! He's a genuine.. He hardly speaks, yet says so much. He will have you in splits in one second and have you howling in pain the next!! A prodigy..
(Pay acute attention to the man who acted as the child's father. He'll genuinly make you hate him. An achievement you hardly find in today's villains in Bollywood Cinema. Kudos!)
