Shubh Raatri Movie

Soft Touch Entertainment’s Shubh Raatri (UA) is a suspense thriller. Aditya (Mehul Bhojak) and Rajlakshmi (Karnika Mandal) get married, but before they consummate their marriage something terrible happened. What is it? Does Rahul have anything to do with it? Rajan Agarwal’s story is ridiculously stupid. The screenplay is full of... holes and, therefore, bores the audiences, making them wonder what purpose is served in the first place by making the film. Dialogues are pedestrian. Mehul Bhojak is average in the role of Aditya. Karnika Mandal does an ordinary job as Rajlakshmi. Shahid Mallya passes muster as Rajiv. Rahul Kumar hardly impresses as Rahul. Rajkumar Kanojia, Javed Haider, Anita Agarwal and Apurva Kavde lend ordinary support. Rahul Prajapati’s direction is dull. Music (by Vaishnav Deva) and lyrics (Pawan Mishra and Mumtaz Nikhat) are functional, at best. Song picturisations (by Anis Khan and P.C. Jhaveri) are poor. Background music is inappropriate. Manoj C. Thakur’s camerawork hardly deserves mention. Action and stunt scenes (Mukesh Rathod) lack thrill. Vijay Pal’s editing leaves a lot to be desired. On the whole, Shubh Raatri is a flop fare.
