There are artists and there are navel-gazing egomaniacs. I'm sorry to say but Mr Bhansali clearly belongs to the second category; Not for one minute did he trouble himself with bothering about us , the audience, as if gracing us with a semblance of a story line was clearly beneath him. No wonder that we, the audience, are now voting with our feet...
Borrowing from Dostoievsky doesn't make one into Dostoievsky and with this latest offering Mr Bhansali has made it clear that he is nowhere close to talented artistic storytellers such as Lucchino Visconti, Peter Greenaway or even Derek Jarman for blue buffs.
I wish that like my former Latin teacher I could use negative marks (- something)because 0.5 is clearly too much.
