Delhi-6 hmmm... A friend asked me recently ater I came back from watching the movie about what the movie was about.. And i Cheekily replied its about a MONKEY .. BLACK MONKEY... that surely would have made me look stupid and film look suspicious.
But to be honest it is and that is what made in interesting. At first you realise that mr. Rakyesh has lost the plot and s confused with the contradicting stories running parallel, but after the intermission when you finally realise what the movie was trying to convey through the use of the Monkey is so different and so fresh I felt like applauding and Clapping with this fresh concept and the wonderful characterisation.
It surely isnt simple and grasping as Rang de basanti was. But Rakyesh and all the characters have conveyed a strong point again as they did before in Rang de basanti.
This movie is one of those which shows the differnt heights bollywood is reaching and I must appreciate the guts and courage for everyone being a part of it as it is surely not everyone's piece of cake.
Abhishek proves yet another role which he needed in his career at this point.. My only concern with him was the use of so much English..
Sonam looks beautiful simple and subtle... what a performance towards the end I must say we have found a true actress in bollywood with the lights of old waheeda rehman and shabana azmi.
The supporting actors have done exceedingly well except for Mr. Om puri, who i personally thought the role didnt suit.
Go for it its a change you will find changing..
