4 Very Good

Aakrosh

AAKROSH'S CENTRAL IDEA IS HONOUR KILLINGS TAKING PLACE IN INDIA EVEN AFTER MORE THAN 60 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE. MOVIE OPENS WITH SCENE OF A COLLEGE IN DELHI, WHOSE 3 STUDENTS ARE MISSING ON A TRIP TO RURAL AREA CALLED JHANJHAR. WHEN THE PRESSURE STARTS BUILDING ON THE GOVT. TO FIND MISSING STUDENTS, IT CONSTITUTES A CBI ENQUIRY LEAD BY AKSHAYE KHANNA AND AJAY DEVGAN.

UPON REACHING THE PLACE, THEY FIND THAT THE PLACE IS VIRTUAL HELL WITH LOCAL GOONS AND POLICE RUNNING PARALLEL GOVT. LOCALS ARE TOO SCARED TO SPEAK ANYTHING WHICH MAY BRING THEM IN THE LINE OF FIRE. BOTH FIND THAT SOCIETY IN GENERAL IS SO MUCH CONSCIOUS ABOUT HIGH AND LOW CASTE SO MUCH SO THAT HIGH CASTE PEOPLE ARE LITERALLY TREATING THE LOWER ONES AS SLAVES .

BOTH COME ACROSS SHOCKING REVELATIONS ABOUT THE GAP BETWEEN RURAL AND URBAN INDIA. THEY ALSO FIND THE CLUE TO MISSING STUDENTS IN THE HIGH AND LOW DIVIDE. WILL THEY BE ABLE TO BRING OUT THE TRUTH IS THE FILM ALL ABOUT.

PARESH RAWAL AS VILLAGE ROGUE POLICE INSPECTOR IS TRULY GREAT. AKSHAYE AND AJAY BOTH PORTRAY THEIR ROLES VERY EFFECTIVELY. OVERALL THE FILM IS THRILLING AND CAPTIVATING, BUT AT THE SAME TIME A SERIOUS ONE REFLECTING THAT INDIA IS NOT REALLY SHINING BEOYOND CITIES. DEFINITELY WORTH A WATCH!!
