The Raja Saab release date locked; Prabhas starrer to release in cinemas on December 5

The makers of The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas in the lead, have officially announced the release date of the much-awaited entertainer. The horror comedy is set to hit theatres on December 5, 2025, confirming months of speculation about its timeline. Additionally, a teaser for the film is scheduled to be unveiled this month, on June 16, offering audiences a first look at what the team describes as a genre-bending cinematic experience.

Directed by Maruthi, the film marks a new direction for Prabhas, who will be seen headlining a horror film for the first time in his career. The actor, best known for his roles in action and fantasy films, is reportedly taking a fresh approach in The Raja Saab, which blends supernatural elements with romance and humour.

 

The film’s first motion poster and promotional assets which have been unveiled so far, have hinted at a mix of eerie visuals and old-school dramatic flair. While specific plot details remain under wraps, The Raja Saab has been described as a film that aims to balance horror with mass entertainment.

 

 

Along with Maruthi helming the project, the movie is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory. The film also boasts of a massive technical crew wherein - cinematography is being handled by Karthik Palani, and the music is composed by Thaman S, who is expected to deliver a high-energy soundtrack and score.

 

Meanwhile, coming to the star cast, joining Prabhas on the big screen will be Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar along with an ensemble cast in key supporting roles. It is being said that Prabhas too will be seen in a double role in this entertainer.

 

The film features a multi-language release strategy, with a simultaneous rollout planned in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. With December often reserved for big-ticket releases, The Raja Saab is expected to be a significant theatrical offering to close out 2025. As anticipation builds, all eyes will be on the June 16 teaser launch to see how the makers introduce this horror entertainer to audiences.
