Indian 2 Accident: After Kamal Haasan, director S Shankar announces Rs. 1 crore compensation for the families of the deceased

After Kamal Haasan, director S Shankar has now announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the families of the deceased. About a week ago, three men died on the sets of Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 after a crane came crashing down during the shoot. The three men were assistant directors on the film and were sitting on the crane when it broke apart and came crashed on the group. Along with them, nine other crew members were injured while they were filming at EVP Film City near Chennai.

The deceased were identified as assistant director Krishna, art assistant Chandrana and Production assistant Madhu. The director also released an elaborate press release in which he spoke about the loss of his crew members.

 

S Shankar had taken to Twitter two days ago to express his grief and said that he has been in a state of shock ever since the incident. “It is with utmost grief, I’m tweeting. Since the tragic incident, I’ve been in a state of shock & having sleepless nights on the loss of my AD & crew. Having missed the crane by a whisker, I feel it would’ve been better if it was on me. Heartfelt condolences & prayers to the families,” he wrote.

 


 


 

Meanwhile, Subaskaran of Lyca Productions said that he will take care of all the medical expenses and also announced Rs. 2 crores compensation to the deceased and the injured people in the unfortunate accident that took place on February 19.
