EXCLUSIVE: Samantha Ruth Prabhu has a special message to her fans amidst her Myostis treatment; says, “It’s a battle that you all are making worth fighting for”

In this exclusive interaction with Bollywood Hungama, the actress opened up about fighting Myositis and expressed her gratitude towards her well-wishers saying, “Thank you all for the support, love and prayers you have been showering on me. I am on the path to recovery. It’s a battle. But it’s a battle that you all are making worth fighting for.” The actress went on to talk about how she derives her strength from her character Yashoda. “My biggest takeaway would be the strength needed to play a character like Yashoda. The strength the character has when she faces difficulties in life is commendable. I learnt a lot from this experience,” shared Samantha.

Comparing her real life avatar with her reel life ones, the actress added, “I think I resonate a lot with Yashoda’s grit and determination to overcome obstacles in her life. I think I too am stubborn like her in real life. Yashoda is someone who came from a humble background, with big dreams and so am I.”

The actress will also be seen doing stunts and underwent prep for the same. Speaking about it, she said, “Doing stunts is something I enjoy a lot. And the stunt directors Yannick Ben and Venkat ensured that though the action choreography was raw and real, it also was tailored to fit a pregnant character. I don’t think pregnancy is an issue for doing stunts. We have seen Gal Gadot play Wonder Woman when she was pregnant in real life.” She added, “I and action director/stunt Yannick Ben worked together first on The Family Man. I did train in boxing and kickboxing while prepping for that role. Having said that, performing any action requires a lot of practice and rehearsals. So yes, a lot of prep.”

Readers would be aware that the film is based on surrogacy. Revealing her opinion on it, Samantha said, “I really don’t have a strong opinion on surrogacy. I understand it as a solution, or even hope, for many people who want to be parents. And that’s what it is for me.”

Besides this, Samantha also spoke about her bond with her co-stars. We all know that the actress will return to the big screen after Yashoda with Kushi starring Vijay Deverakonda. The Arjun Reddy star has been the actress’ fan boy and has confessed his love for the actress. Responding to it, she added, “He is anything but a fan boy on set. I think I have equal admiration and respect for him. There is a good connection; we agree on most things, we have the same likes and dislikes, mostly similar school of thought. I love watching him on screen. I love what he’s done in Kushi and I think same kind of admiration applies both ways.”

Furthermore, the Family Man actress is keenly inclined towards Bollywood. Wonder if she has a wish list and her response was, “If it is my wish list, then why not put everyone on the list? Why bother selecting a few when you can put them all on the list!! “
