After the unprecedented success of Kantara across India, Rishab Shetty has garnered a devoted fanbase eagerly awaiting his next big-screen appearance. Among his upcoming ventures, Jai HanuMan stands out as one of the most anticipated mythological epics in the making. And now, we have some exciting news for his fans! Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned that the makers of Jai HanuMan are planning to release a special video asset on Rishab Shetty’s birthday, which falls on July 7.

“Yes, you read that right,” a well-placed industry source confirmed. “The makers of Jai HanuMan are planning to drop a video unit on Monday, July 7, as a birthday treat for Rishab Shetty’s fans.”

 

Presented by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, Jai HanuMan is helmed by HanuMan director Prasanth Varma and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. The film stars National Award-winning actor Rishab Shetty in the titular role and promises to blend mythological gravitas with contemporary cinematic craft.

 

Set to go on floors soon, the film is envisioned as a pan-India release that pays homage to one of the most revered figures in Indian mythology—Lord Hanuman. For Shetty, this marks the first time he takes on a role rooted deeply in spiritual and cultural legacy, a departure from his earthy, folklore-driven persona in Kantara.

 

Speaking of the sequel to Kantara, reportedly, Rishab underwent extensive prep for the film. For a war sequence in the film, the actor learned horse riding, Kalaripayattu, and sword fighting. It is written and directed by Rishab himself. The film is expected to release on October 2, 2025.
