Dulquer Salmaan surprises fans with early release of his film Salute on Sony LIV

Dulquer Salmaan surprised his fans on Thursday morning by announcing the early release of his film Salute. The film was slated to release on Sony LIV on March 18. However, on Thursday, March 17, the actor who has also produced the film announced that the film is live on the streaming service.

“Surprise !! We are ahead of time !!!#Salute streaming now on @SonyLIV,” wrote Dulquer while announcing the early release of the film.

 

 

Salute is backed by Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films and is directed by Rosshan Andrrews. The film which sees Dulquer essay the role of a cop was supposed to hit the big screens on January 15 but was delayed by the pandemic. After the film was postponed due to the third wave of the pandemic, the team of the film decided to go for a direct-to-OTT release. However, this was not appreciated by the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) who have decided to ban his films.

 

The film has been written by Bobby and Sanjay. The film also stars Manoj K Jayan, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Saikumar, Binu Pappu, Deepak Parambol, and Saniya Iyappan.
