Chiyaan Vikram donates Rs. 30 lakh towards Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fight COVID
Tamil film star Chiyaan Vikram has become the latest celebrity from the Tamil film industry to donate towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Vikram made an online donation of Rs. 30 lakh to help fight against COVID. In the recent past, several celebrities including Rajinikanth, Suriya, Ajith, Karthi, Sivakumar, and Vetri Maaran have donated to the Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers’ relief fund.
The state of Tamil Nadu like the rest of India has been facing a surge in the number of COVID cases and is currently under lockdown to curb the spread of the virus. Rajinikanth met TN chief Minister MK Stalin and donated Rs. 50 lakh, while Sivakumar and his sons Suriya and Karthi donated Rs. 1 crore.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vikram will next be seen in the film Cobra directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu. He will also be seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyan Selvan which also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi.
