Chiranjeevi pens emotional note for Ram Charan after watching Peddi; says, “I feel proud not just as a father, but also as an actor”

Following the successful release of Peddi, Chiranjeevi took to social media to express his admiration for his son Ram Charan and the entire team behind the sports action drama. The veteran actor shared a heartfelt note on X (formerly Twitter), congratulating the cast and crew while reflecting on the hard work that went into bringing the film to life.

Beginning his message, Chiranjeevi wrote, “Congratulations to our #PEDDI, my dear @AlwaysRamCharan and the entire cast & crew on this incredible blockbuster!” The actor then switched to Telugu and penned an emotional tribute to Ram Charan, revealing that despite being occupied with a film shoot in Pollachi, his thoughts were entirely with Peddi and its success. “Even though I am currently in Pollachi for a film shoot, my heart is completely with Peddi. Over the last two years, I have closely witnessed the hard work, dedication, and commitment that Charan has invested in this film. Seeing the love and appreciation the audience is showering on it today fills me with immense pride—not just as a father, but also as an actor.”

 

Praising Ram Charan’s commitment to the titular role, Chiranjeevi added, “The relentless effort, determination, and sincerity with which he immersed himself in the character of Peddi are clearly visible in every frame. This success is the reward for all that hard work. My special congratulations to director @BuchiBabuSana for writing such an extraordinary story and bringing it to life on screen in an equally extraordinary manner.”

 

The megastar also extended his appreciation to producer Venkata Satish Kilaru and the rest of the cast and technical team for their contribution to the film. “Heartfelt congratulations also to producer @venkataskilaru for backing his very first film on such a grand scale without making any compromises. Congratulations to my friend, “Karunada Chakravarthy” Shri @NimmaShivanna, and to my brother-like @IamJagguBhai, who brilliantly lived the character of Appalasuri. My special appreciation to @arrahman for delivering exceptional songs and a soul-stirring background score; to @RathnaveluDop for transforming every frame into a visual masterpiece through his cinematography; to @artkolla for the magnificent production design; and to editor @NavinNooli for elevating the film to another level with his expertise.”

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is a sports action drama headlined by Ram Charan. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, with Ishan Saksena serving as co-producer under IVY Entertainment, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The ensemble cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani. The film released in theatres on June 4 and has been receiving a positive response from audiences.
