Amaran World TV Premiere: Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi starrer to make its debut on Star Gold

On Tuesday, Star Gold announced the world television premiere of the war-drama Amaran, the inspiring true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a fearless Indian Army officer whose courage and sacrifice have left an indelible mark on the nation. A Kamal Haasan production, this critically acclaimed film starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, has touched hearts across the country and will premiere on January 26, marking the occasion of India’s Republic Day, at 8 pm.

What is Amaran about?

 

It chronicles the extraordinary life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, and his enduring love story with his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese. While showcasing Major Mukund’s rise as a celebrated figure in the armed forces, the film also delves into the strength and sacrifices of Indhu, offering the emotional portrayal of a soldier’s family and how the career has an impact on their lives.

Speaking about the upcoming world television premiere, Sivakarthikeyan said, “Amaran is close to my heart in more ways than one. The story of Major Mukund always needed to be told, and being part of this journey is a milestone I’ll forever cherish. Republic Day feels like the perfect occasion for the film’s World TV Premiere. One of the biggest highlights of Amaran is poignant love story of Mukund with Indhu. While Sai Pallavi received love for her character, the actress had stated that she underwent extensive research for her role including spending time with the real Indhu Rebecca Varghese to step into the shoes of her character. This Republic Day, in a bid to honour the brave men and women who serve our nation, Amaran aims to be a fitting tribute that salutes the spirit of the armed forces and their families. While the film released in multiple languages, on January 26, it will airing on Star Gold in Hindi.
