Allu Arjun couldn’t attend Thandel event due to gastritis, reveals father Allu Aravind

Allu Arjun, who has been basking in the success of Pushpa 2 – The Rule, was recently expected to attend the pre-release event of the Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi starrer Thandel. The superstar’s father and film producer Allu Aravind confirmed about the superstar being invited for the same but revealed that he couldn’t make it due to health issues.

It is a known fact that Thandel makers are going to lengths to bring together the biggest stars of Indian Cinema under one roof. The film’s trailer was launched in Mumbai by Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. While audiences expected a similar fanfare at an event in Hyderabad. From what we hear, the actor was supposed to join the rest of the team for the same but his father Allu Aravind shared the reason behind the same. The producer said, “I didn't get the chance to tell everyone this, I don't want anyone to misunderstand. We thought Bunny (the popular nickname of Allu Arjun) would come, but he didn't because he returned from abroad with severe gastritis, so he couldn't be here."

 

 

From what we hear, fans were eagerly waiting to see the superstar in his elements LIVE till 11 pm but were disappointed when he didn’t turn up. The event too is expected to have suffered a delay of 3 hours. Meanwhile, certain reports suggest that Arjun did not receive permission to make an appearance after the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident. For the unversed, his appearance ahead of Pushpa 2 – The Rule release had resulted in chaos outside the theatre which resulted in the demise of a woman along with her son suffering critical injuries.

 

Coming to Thandel, the film, set against the backdrop of ocean and the life of fishermen, is based on true events and explores the theme of love, action, and patriotism. Also starring Sai Pallavi as the leading lady, the movie is slated to release on February 7 in multiple languages including Hindi.
