Zico and BLACKPINK's Jennie team up for fun-filled music video ‘SPOT’, watch

Chart-topping artist and producer ZICO returns with his latest single ‘SPOT!’ (Feat. JENNIE) today, marking his long-awaited comeback since his EP Grown Ass Kid released in July 2022. 2024 marks ZICO’s tenth year as a solo artist.

The hip-hop-based track, produced and executed by two of the most influential players in the scene, follows the casual encounter between two friends at a late-night party. Through concise yet witty lyrics that hit the spot delivered by the seamless catchy flow of JENNIE’s vocals and ZICO’s punchlines, the newly released track is highly anticipated to be one of the biggest collaborations of the year.

 

In light of his new release, ZICO said, “As soon as I finished making the track, I knew it was executed to perfection without a doubt.”

 

He further elaborated, “The charm of this single lies in its simple arrangement that evokes listeners’ excitement and desire to have fun. I wanted to create a song that people can put on repeat, stripping away any unnecessary elements to emphasize the parts where I wanted to highlight most throughout the track. Listeners will be able to hear the tasteful synergy between JENNIE and ZICO.”

 

As the pioneer who led the K-pop dance challenge craze with ‘Any Song’, ‘New Thing’, ‘Okey Dokey’, and ‘Tell ME Yes Or No’, anticipation towards the single is higher than ever as the track is expected to reveal a deeper layer of ZICO's musical chamber.
