Yami Gautam gives a sneak-peek into her wedding with Aditya Dhar and it shows why marriage is all about simple things

Uri actress Yami Gautam and the film’s director Aditya Dhar got married a year ago in a rather low-profile wedding ceremony in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Amidst the whole hoopla about big lavish weddings, the couple opted for an intimate wedding ceremony of about 20 people which included their close friends and family. A day ago, Yami shared a video of her wedding with filmmaker on the occasion of their anniversary.

Yami Gautam took to Instagram to wish her filmmaker husband Aditya Dhar on the occasion of their anniversary by sharing a rather serene and beautiful video of their private wedding in Himachal Pradesh. She captioned it saying, “For all you do, for who you are, I will be forever grateful you are in my life :) Happy 1st Anniversary! ❤️” The video gave us a glimpse of their wedding venue which had a unique old world charm to it but it looked equally homely and warm.

In an interview earlier with The Indian Express, Yami Gautam had revealed that she didn’t even opt for a beautician for her wedding. Instead she opted for doing her own makeup and her sister helped her with her hair. Even the outfit the Uri actress chose was her mother’s and the dupatta was her grandmother’s. With memories galore, Yami described her wedding as her perfect dream because she doesn’t prefer all the pomp and show.

 

“It is just about those moments, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone. It’s your day, your family and it’s best when you can celebrate it without making it an obligation. Both of us don’t believe in pomp and show. To each his own, it’s your big day, whatever makes you happy,” she had said.
