Sunny Deol drops birthday note for director Balaji Ganesh from the sets of their next Excel Entertainment-backed film

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and A.R. Murgadoss recently announced their project, an untitled action-thriller, headlined by Sunny Deol. It brings together an interesting collaboration, with Jyotika set to play a key role alongside Deol. Riding high on the momentum of Border 2, Sunny Deol’s leading the project has added to the film’s buzz and has wished.

The film is being helmed by Balaji Ganesh, a Chennai-based filmmaker known for his long association as a co-director with Murugadoss. It went on floors in February 2027 and is currently in production. As the director celebrates his birthday today, Sunny Deol took to his Instagram, sharing unseen pictures with him and dropping a heartfelt wish for the director.

 

Billed as a one-of-a-kind action thriller, the film sees Sunny Deol stepping into a completely new avatar, marking his first collaboration with Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and A.R. Murugadoss. This new role signals an exciting new phase in his career.

 

The theatrical is an Excel Entertainment Production, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and A.R. Murugadoss, co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Aditya Joshi, Sunnil Jain, and Yusuf Shaikh.
