Sonu Sood reveals that he has not spoken to Kangana Ranaut since Manikarnika; calls her ‘foolish’ but asserts, “She is not a bad person”

Kangana Ranaut, who shared a great bond with Sonu Sood, took over Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi as a director in the midst of its shooting schedule. This resulted in many changes in the film, leading to Sonu Sood also walking out of the venture. The fallout between the actors further intensified when the actress made a few more remarks about the actor and now Sood confirmed that they are no longer in touch with each other.

Sonu Sood was reportedly playing the role of Sadashiv Rao which was later offered to Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. Talking to Shubhankar Mishra during the promotions of his film Fateh, Sonu said, “I left Manikarnika also because Kangana is my friend. We are not on talking terms right now, but I have been very close with her family – her mother, father and sister meet me very lovingly. I have a rule in life that if I have ever been close to someone or friends with them, more or less, if I have a problem, I will never speak against them.”

 

He also revealed that the actress did not approach him for anything since then. “We have never even spoken to each other after Manikarnika. We even have a common friend Ajay, he is close to both of us. He has tried to make us meet a couple of times, but I said it’s okay, let her be happy in her space,” Sood added.

 

Actor insists that he would never bad-mouth her because she ‘was a good friend’

 

“People can say whatever they want, but I will never say anything against them. I might feel upset thinking, ‘This person was a good friend and said such things’. I feel that it’s her foolishness, she is not a bad person. But sometimes, when you write or say things, you don’t actually think it through. I might have also gone through this and done things out of being naive. However, there is no regret. It’s her own thinking, I prefer not to pay heed by answering,” he added.
