Recently, she attended a campaign for the empowerment of girl child by Brahma Kumaris. It was held in Gurugram, Delhi NCR. The actress won hearts with her honest outlook on life.

Snippets from Shehnaaz’s thought-provoking speech at the event is going viral on social media. At the event, she also spoke about love and attachment. This comes months after the demise of Sidharth Shukla, whom she was extremely close and had also expressed her love for him on various occasions. She was heartbroken and devastated post his demise and stayed away from the public glare for a while after his death. Sidharth passed away last year following a cardiac arrest.

 

Talking about love, Shehnaaz said, "Attachment hurts but love is pure. You don't cry when you love someone. Whatever relationships you have with your brother, husband, etc are temporary and will remain here only."

 

She also stressed gender equality at the event. “I want to say that stop making girls feel small. I am also a girl. It shouldn't be that brothers should walk ahead of their sisters. If the brother will go, then the sister will go. Girls should not feel scared. Boys and girls shouldn't be differentiated. We all should think we are souls then no one can harm us. Competition, comparison, and dishonesty will fade away if we think like this."
