Shah Rukh Khan’s 59th birthday celebration: Superstar reacts as a fan removes his shirt and shows a tattoo of SRK: “Tere left shoulder pe main bahut handsome lag raha hoon”; also adds “Shirt utaarne ka haq sirf mera hai”

Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 59th birthday and as expected, there was jubilation like no other across the country courtesy of his die-hard fans. On this special occasion, SRK called his fans to an auditorium in Mumbai and had an interactive session with them. As expected, the superstar brought the house down with his wit and sense of humour. At the same time, he also made it clear how much the fans mean to him.

During the Q-and-A session with fans, Shah Rukh realized that only males were asking him questions. He asked the anchor, RJ Rohini, “Ladkiyan kyun sawaal nahin puch rahi hai? Badi badi daadhi waale log mujhe ‘I love you’ keh rahe hai. Ghar jaa ke kya jawab dunga main?”

 

A bearded fan, who got to ask a question, revealed that he has made a tattoo of the superstar and asked if he can remove his shirt and show it to SRK. Shah Rukh, in his trademark style, quipped, “To all those who love me in this room and outside this room, always remember that shirt utaarne ka haq sirf mera hai!”

 

On a serious note, he told the fan, “Tattoo is a big commitment. When someone makes a tattoo, it means a lot. Also, cinema can be looked down upon. Like in Delhi, when someone says that he acts, they say ‘bhaand giri kar raha hai’, nautanki ka kaam kar raha hai’, ‘naach gaane ke kaam hai’. But I am happy that by working in cinema, I have inspired people.”

 

Shah Rukh Khan continued, “I come from a lower middle-class family. I was educated as that was a must for my parents. Woh saari padhai likhai mere kaam aayi hai. Most of us come from nowhere and that doesn’t matter at all. You continue to work hard and study and if you follow your dream, aapka end result bahut khoobsurat hoga. I am really thankful to God that youngsters like you can take that from me. They should not take home the fact that ‘Isne bade fashionable kapde pehne hai, yeh picture mein bada cool lagta hai’. Woh sab toh hai. But I hope that you can take home the fact that no matter where you come from, you can achieve your dreams.”

 

SRK switched back to his funny side, “I am really happy that you have my tattoo. Having said that, tumhara tattoo main apne upar kabhi nahin banaunga! Inshallah, if you become a very big star, I’ll still not make your tattoo (smiles). Kyunki tumhari daadhi bahut badi hai! If I have your tattoo, it’ll go all the way down till here (points at his lower back). But god bless you aur ghadi ghadi shirt mat utaaro kyunki shirt utaarne ka haq sirf mera hai!”

 

The fan insisted that he’d like to remove his shirt and show his tattoo to Shah Rukh. SRK replied, “Aise kaise main ladke ke tattoo dekhta firunga? Log kya kahenge? Pehle hi mere baare mein galat shalat bolte hai!” The fan, however, was adamant and Shah Rukh gave in.

 

The fan showed his tattoo and got a round of applause from fellow fans and a thumbs up from Shah Rukh Khan. He also said, “Tere left shoulder pe main bahut handsome lag raha hoon!”
