Shah Rukh Khan says ‘hum sab Bharat ke santaan hain’ to a fan who applauds Pathaan as a film that transcends everything

Despite many controversies, Pathaan not only managed to sail through its release smoothly but the film is also making record-breaking business across the world. While Shah Rukh Khan fans are rejoicing the success, the superstar decided to know more about the fan’s verdict personally. For the same, he hosted the #AskSRK session to understand what his fans think about his film and one of them had the sweetest comment about it.

For the unversed, Pathaan faced several protests in different regions of India after the release of the song ‘Besharam Rang’. From the outfits worn by Deepika Padukone to her intimate dance with Shah Rukh Khan, many of them raised an objection to the song’s visual content. However, the protests die down after CBFC recommended a few changes, later, helping the film’s release in multiplexes and theatres. Referring to the entire controversy in the #AskSRK session, a fan described the film as a one that transcended all and emerged victorious.

 

 

The fan said, “Sir, Pathaan has nailed the fact that love transcends race, religion, language, region. Pathaan's is your success, India's success. With such a position comes responsibility and I hope you would do more to unite India and Indians. Jai Hind.” Shah Rukh Khan also responded in a rather emotional manner, and showcased his patriotic side saying, “If there is one truth it is : ki hum sab ek hi maa aur pita ki santaan hain. Bharat ke. Hindustan ke…India ke. Jai Hind. (We all have only one set of parents, our mother and father is Bharat… we are all the children of Hindustan… India).”

 

Pathaan features Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles whereas John Abraham essays the antagonist. It is directed by Siddharth Anand and it released on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
